Noon until 1:00 P.M.

Chattanooga Convention Center

Guest Speaker

Speaker:  Bill Shaw

Bill Shaw received his chemical engineering degree from the University of South Carolina in 1965 and worked with several large chemical companies before forming Eagle Performance Products Corporation in Atlanta with two investing partners in 1974.  Eagle is a textile chemical manufacturer specializing in fire retardant fabric treatments for cruise ships, motels, hospitals, nursing homes and other commercial buildings.

Bill has survived normal business hazards of foreign competition, ever increasing and changing government regulation, IRS examinations, partnership buy-outs and embezzlement.  And finally he survived the sale of the business to a partner in December of 2014.  The main manufacturing facility is in Calhoun, GA.

Bill, now in the fourth quarter of his life, has much to share with us about how he combined his faith with his business practices to have both a successful company and family.

Bill and his wife Suzanne live in Venice, Florida.  However, they spend their summers in Atlanta because they have two daughters, five grandsons, five granddaughters, and three great grandchildren.  Bill also enjoys golf and quail hunting.
